Following the success of the First Symposium on Teaching and Learning in Higher Education held in July 2000 at the National University of Singapore, this Second Symposium will continue to bring together teachers to promote and exchange ideas, solutions, and experiences across a broad range of topics related to teaching and learning in higher education today. The emphasis is on the changes in learning processes and learning outcomes as a result of the shift from the instruction paradigm to the learning paradigm. Our ultimate goal is the increased awareness of pedagogical issues that result in enhanced teaching and learning.
