Dr Eric Chan is a pharmaceutical scientist and an associate professor in the Department of Pharmacy, National University of Singapore, and is currently serving his appointment to the Dean’s Chair Professorship in the Faculty of Science. Eric is a registered pharmacist under the Singapore Pharmacy Council, Ministry of Health, and an adjunct principal investigator at the Singapore Institute of Clinical Sciences. He is an editorial board member of the Journal of Chromatography B and served previously as editorial board member for the Journal of Proteome Research and Rapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry. Eric is a grant review board member for the Health and Medical Research Fund (HMRF) in Hong Kong (2013-current), and also serves as a Scientific Affairs Committee member of the International Society for the Study of Xenobiotics (2016-current). His disciplinary research interests include metabolism-driven systems biology modeling of diseases, pharmacology, toxicology and mammalian host-bacteria interactions, as well as xenobiotic-derived reactive metabolite research, with specific focus on interaction with biological proteins and physiological-based pharmacokinetics-pharmacodynamics (PBPK-PD) modeling of pharmacology and toxicology. His research interest in the scholarship of teaching and learning pertains to the development and evaluation of new teaching methods.
