The Centre for Development of Teaching and Learning (CDTL) was originallyestablished at NUS as the Centre for Educational Technology (CET).
1984 CET was established.
1996 CET was renamed as CDTL.
1999 CDTL was restructured, resulting in the formation of the Centre for Instructional Technology (CIT), which takes care of the development of instructional technology; and CDTL, which focuses on pedagogical issues and practices.
2008 CDTL underwent a second organizational review, resulting in the full time appointments of a 3-people management team consisting of a Director, and 2 full-time Deputy Directors overseeing programmes, research and outreach.
