Exercises to promote critical thinking

Given below are examples of exercises that can be used in small tutorial discussions or for buzz group discussions in large lecture classes. Similar tasks can be used for assessment in quizzes (class tests) and final examinations as well.

These exercises are grouped into four tentative categories for easy reference. The number and structuring of these categories would change depending upon the other exercises that we hope various faculty members would contribute.
