Effectiveness

The effectiveness of e-Education is directly proportional to applying the lessons learned. This session will cover formative and summative evaluation findings of online learning initiatives. Presenters from NUS, Singapore Armed Forces Training Institute (SAFTI) and National Institute of Education (NIE) will share their findings of ongoing evaluation and relevant research in the region. Issues of interest include how user convenience contributes to learning, whether worthwhile learning gains have been recorded and what success factors there are that affect learning online and promote learner commitment and satisfaction. Attendees will gain insight into the pedagogical aspects of e-Education as presenters outline some of the learning domains that can be effectively targeted through online strategies. This session will offer opportunities for participants to become familiar with and reflect on important teaching and learning issues in e-Education.
