STUDY WITH FRIENDS

“A problem shared is a problem halved!”
(Or “Misery loves company”…?)

If you feel you can’t go it alone, get together with a few of your course-mates to motivate each other and to help each other stay focussed.
Studying in small groups can also make the task more manageable when you:

  • Assign group members to cover different topics. Get each one to explain the topic in detail.
  • Assign group members to create sample questions to topics, to work on different questions or exam papers from different years. Again, get each person to explain the answers.
  • Create summary sheets for each other, and quiz each other.
  • Help each other identify areas that you are unsure of (especially as you work on questions), and approach the lecturer as a group for clarification. Make sure you don’t wait till the last minute to do this!
