The variety of media at your disposal for teaching is phenomenal. At NUS, it ranges from the traditional chalkboard to the latest computer-based interactive multimedia tools. As it is not within the scope of this section to cover all the available media comprehensively, the focus will be on those that are readily available and commonly used at NUS.

Using media without giving due consideration to their respective strengths and weaknesses, special features, appropriateness, relevance, design and the need for preparation will interfere with your teaching. Attention will be given here to the production elements and the way each of the specific medium may be used to enhance your teaching.
