64 Teaching Assistants, mainly from the Science
and Engineer ing facult ies, at tended the TA
training programme on 23 -24 July which
consisted of workshops and plenary sessions on
motivating students by responding to their work,
assessing student learning, teaching and learning
in small groups, presentation skills and hands-on
micro-teaching sessions for participants to give a
demonstration on how they conduct their classes
and gain feedback from others.
