  1. Intensive programme

    The core module is a 24-hour intensive programme that runs over 3 consecutive days at the beginning of each semester. It focuses on helping participants become more familiar with the teaching and learning process and the various components that go into teaching and being able to apply sound principles within their own disciplinary context.

    The focus of the core module will be introduced in three aspects that underpin good teaching and learning:

    1. the values and desired outcomes of a higher education;
    2. the principles of learning (knowing) and teaching; and
    3. the components of teaching for intentional learning.

  2. Teaching Practicum

    This module emphasizes reflective practice. It also seeks to reduce the gap between educational research and teaching practice, by providing teachers with the experience of conducting action-oriented, applied research in their own classrooms. Participants are encouraged to enroll in the practicum during the first semester, but if they have not been assigned a lecturing workload during the first semester, it would be more meaningful to enroll in the second semester.
