The PDP-T consists of:

The Core Module

  • The core module is a 24-hour intensive programme that runs over 3 consecutive days. It focuses on helping participants become more familiar with the teaching and learning process and the various components that go into teaching and being able to apply sound principles within their own disciplinary context.

  • The practicum is 2 two-hour discussion sessions aimed at reviewing participants' experiments with various innovative ideas and strategies in their teaching. In addition to sharing their experiences and insights with other members of the group, participants are expected to record their efforts in a written report. The report will eventually act as the nucleus around which the participant will be able to construct their Teaching Portfolio.

The Elective Modules

  • Electives are modules related to various aspects of teaching and learning. Participants make choices based on interest and relevance to their context. Participants must complete 16 hours worth of modules.
