  • FTECs select 5% of their top nominees, indicating 1% (of the 5%) as potential OEA recipients. The remaining 4% will be nominated for the ATEA exercise.
  • The FTEC will submit brief reports on the nominees (in a prescribed format), along with the order of their ranking.
  • From the ranked lists submitted by FTECs and the supporting documentation provided, the UTEC will make the final decision.
  • Each nominee will be asked to submit a portfolio containing statements on
    • their educational philosophy,
    • teaching practices,
    • contributions to the cause of education above and beyond those of regular teaching and administration, as well as
    • folders of the modules taught
      (OEA Nominations: all modules taught over the past 3 years 
      ATEA Nominations
      : modules of year under review)

         The folders should contain:

      • syllabuses,
      • teaching materials,
      • assignments,
      • quizzes, and
      • final examinations.
