Synopsis
A literature review is an integral part of essays, theses and academic papers. It summarises and evaluates previous research on a topic, and situates the writer's own contribution. This workshop will address some of the different components of an effective literature review, by analyzing selected samples with the participants.
1. Information seeking: Identify Resources and Make Sense of the Literature
2. Critical Appraisal: How to evaluate the work of others.
3. Organizing and Writing the Literature Review
Pre-requisite: This workshop is targeted at NUS students from all disciplines. The session will focus on the general principles of an effective literature review rather than the specifics of any particular discipline.
Registration is closed.
