Synopsis

The assessment tool feature on IVLE 9.0 offers you a solution to test your students’ knowledge learned during class. It provides a wide variety of question types for use including the following: multiple choice tests, multiple response items, select list type, true / false, fill in the blanks, matching and essay questions. The advantage of using the online assessment is that it enhances the learning process by giving timely student feedback and real time evaluation of the student’s performance. The workshop helps you acquire knowledge on how to utilize the assessment tool functionality within IVLE 9.0.

• Create and configure a module
• Add assessment tool functionality into the module
• Create and configure the assessment tool preferences
• Separate the test questions into different sections
• Add different types of questions into the assessment
• Define a marking scheme for the test questions
• Access the university’s teaching and learning resources

Prerequisites

This workshop is most suitable for colleagues who have basic knowledge of the functionalities within IVLE 9.0, such as module creation. It is essential that you already have a module which the assessment tool can be added.
